Products - Buck's Ridge Extra Virgin Olive Oil
This Extra Virgin Olive Oil was produced at Wild Olive from a blend of the Leccino, Frantoio and Mission olive varieties. The oil was extracted in our production facility using a new Italian, Oliomio 150 press and then settled for a few months in airtight stainless steel storage tanks before being lightly filtered through pure cotton wool and then bottled and labeled – all by hand. The result is a fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oil with a very low Oleic acidity of +- 0.2% (“Extra Virgin” classification requires that the Oleic acidity level be below 0.8%). The oil has also been certified by the South African body that governs the Olive Oil industry in this country, namely “SA OLIVE”. The oil is well balanced with a herbaceous nose and a spicy, peppery finish making it the ideal partner for salads, pasta, meat and fish dishes.
